Trading Sickness For WELL BEING

I've been thinking about the many times that I've been through sickness. Being sick is not fun at all. I know that sickness will come in life.

I've notice in the last years I'm having more allergy issues. I hate that. I've been to the doctors more too. I'm on medicine for that.

It taking a while for the allergy issues to come. It comes at any season of the year. I try to bit the system. I see that it's not working out as I've planned.

Allergies isn't the only sickness that I have. But I do the best that I can. I replace the on going sicknesses that are upon me with other things to do. I focus on things that I like to do

I seem to keep a positive outlook on things. I have to have my checkups and following with the doctors.

Trade Up: Feelings

Assignment # 21 Trade Up

Here's what the assignment is about for this session.

Paying attention to how you feel is most important because your feelings are a barometer for the types of thoughts that are dominating your mind. Your thoughts produce your feelings.

Do you want to feel differently?
If yes, then you need to change your thoughts. You need to trade up.

This week, pay attention to how you're feeling while you're journaling, or think about a series of feelings you've had like: anger, sadness, anxiety, fear, happiness, joy, etc. within the last 24 hours.

What are you (or were you) thinking that produced those feelings? If those thoughts and subsequent feelings are negative, trade up.

Replace them with thoughts that allow you to feel slightly better, focus on them, and journal your new feelings based on your new, positive, empowering thoughts.

Once you are at a slightly better place, keep trading up and keep climbing the ladder of better feeling thoughts one rung at a time.

Some Of My Thoughts:
I got this assignment later than I had expected. I didn't pay too much attention to my feelings today.  I'll try to at least note something about my feelings during this week.

May we learn to know what's best of us when we are going through things in life. May we learn to see the better side of things. May the LORD comfort us as we live out our days. Amen.

I had a great week doing this assignment. I wasn't going to post every day. But I did enjoy those little things in my life that cost little or no money that give me great pleasure.

I'm thankful that I'm apart of the earth.
I'm thankful that I have eyes to view the sky view.

Life's Simple Pleasures: Watching People Come To Church

         Life's Simple Pleasures

# 6.) Watching People Come To Church

I'm a greeter at the place where I worship. I greet on Sundays. I see so much join in seeing people coming together to worship God.

I can describe how these pleasures make me feel. I feel such joy in seeing the children come running in the doors to sign into their classes. They seem to be more happier than their parents. Also I see joy of some people's faces.

I revel in the great pleasure I get from what I see in people's reactions despite in what simplicity there is. We all have our lot in life. We have the pleasure of coming together. Especially in the house of God.

I notice the abundance in my life when I see others as they are. We don't have to pretend that we are happy. We are not perfect.

In all... we need each other as member of the church. The church needs us. We need the church. We need each other.

May we join together in the house of the LORD. May we see the good in coming together. May we encourage one another. May we be apart of the body of Christ. May we be like children coming to the LORD. Amen.

Life's Simple Pleasures

# 5.) Thinking
Thinking is a simple pleasure in life. I do most of my thinking wherever I can. But mostly I like sitting in my computer chair.

I can describe how thinking is a pleasure that makes me feel good inside. I enjoy the times when I can come up with things as I'm in my chair.  That's a good reward to receive.

I can revel in the great pleasure  that I get from thinking despite its simplicity. If my train of thought is interrupted, I could lose what I was thinking about. I write poems in times when I'm thinking.

I have the time to ponder what I can say in words. I do this when I'm thinking of idea on what to journal about. I had some of my ideas for this journaling assignment by thinking.

In all... I notice the abundance in my life when I think. I see great pleasure in thinking. It doesn't cost much to exercise the mind. It's good to do some thinking daily. It bring goodness to us. I feel wonderful when idea come to me.  Some things come to me and I have to jot them down so I won't forget it.

May we exercise our thinking from time to time. May the LORD bless us with creative ides while we are thinking. May our mind be alert while we do what we do in life. Amen.

I can revel in the great pleasure. I  get from going to the Upper Room. But despite having others with me in there I can see the simplicity in just being there. There is a calm quietness there. I can meditate on thing. There are times when I journal or write poems.

Life's Simple Pleasures: Watching The Sky View

        Life's Simple Pleasures

# 2.) Watching The Sky View

Another one of my life's simple pleasures would be watching the sky view. I like to view the sky after a stormy or rainy day. There's so much to see.

I can use my imagination. What can I see? There are puffy clouds that move. Many has different shape the form things. There's such peace and beauty there.

I can describe how watching the view gives me pleasures. It make me feel at ease. I can enjoy and watch the sky in at that moment in time. I'm looking to see what I can see.

It could take a while to actual see something that's noticeable. But despite not seeing things quickly as I won't, there is simplicity in what I'm doing. There some joy in viewing the sky.

I notice that when I do spot something, I can have an abundance in my life. What I saw that there.  I can be any where and look at the sky. It doesn't cost my anything. But a little of my time to look up and explore.

There were times when I saw faces, cartoon character, animals, and three were some senses like in a movie. There was one like the sense with three crosses with people on each cross. That was dramatic and awesome to see. I wish I can see more clouds like that.

In all.... I can use my imagination to see what's in  the sky view. I am blessed. I thank God for what I see. At times, I think God places some things in the clouds for me to see. I even saw a happy face in the clouds once. That give me a sense of joy.

May we see the good of the sky. May we adventure into the things the bring joy into our days. May God interact with what we do for pleasure. May we come to use what we have to bring joy into our lives. Amen!

Life's Simple Pleasures: Being Apart Of The Earth

       Life's Simple Pleasures:
# 1.) Being Apart Of The Earth

There are a lot of little things in  life that cost little or no money value about them. They can give us great pleasure. There are things that don't cost us. Those things we can see as good and pleasurable.
 for our good.

I was thinking. What great pleasure it is to be apart of  being on earth! I'm reminded of that every each day I go outside. I notice things.

I walked out of my house this morning. I smelt the earth. The smell of dirt in the air. The wind was blowing. What a good feeling to be reminded that the earth has its functions.

I can describe great pleasure of being apart of the earth when the seasons come around. Springtime is here. I can smell it in the air. I see it in nature.

I enjoy seeing the re birth of nature. The leaves are budding back on trees, bushes and plants. Life is coming to be. Such great joy from coming from the cold Winter season.

I have great pleasure in experiencing Spring despite what come with it simplicity. I like the season of life.  I notice the abundance in my life when Spring comes. I become more alive and ready for the outdoors.

May we see the value in life's surrounding. May we know that there is more to life than what we see. May we take pleasure in the small things in life. May we learn that the things in life is precious. Amen.

Wealth: What Its Purpose?

I use the questions from assignment # 19 and took the word "you" into the first person. I answered the questions to how I believe or how I've experience life.... I didn't spend a lot of time on this assignment.

How much money do I want to have? Or how much money I want to be earning?I want to earn as much as it's able to obtain what I need in life's journey. I don't what to barely get by or living pay check to pay check, borrowing things or whatever.

Why don't I have that amount?
I have money to obtain what I need at the present moment. It would be nice to have some funds to by some pleasurable things. Wealth comes in many treasures.

I wrote down the some of  my reasons why I don't have..."it".
I need to balance and know what I need in life. There can be a lot of reasons why I don't have what I want. Perhaps it not the right time.

Or maybe I have no desire for things that I think I need. We live in a material consuming world of possessing things. Things shouldn't make us "feel" important or worthy.

Are these reasons I want to continue living with? My reasons can change from season to season. Things come up in life and I have to rearrange things. I have to make the best of what I have in the present time. I should use what I have.

What are my beliefs about wealth? My belief about wealth, God gives us power to get wealth.  I have to earn a living. I have to find a way to live. Without income life is hard.

Do I believe that it comes easier to others and is harder for me to acquire?  Wealth is easier to acquire when its inherited. Wealth is much harder when its earned and not managed properly. There's more to wealth than having it.

Do I believe that wealthy people are arrogant? I don't believe all wealthy people are arrogant. It depends on each person and how they learn the value of what they have.

Do I have a clear picture of what I would do with tremendous wealth? I don't think that I have a clear picture of what I would do with tremendous wealth. Money is a hot issue.

Being wealth is more than acquiring what a person has. There is much more responsibility in being wealthy. It cost to be wealthy. There are people that expect more out of wealthy people because they have the resources that's there for them to use. People can take advantage of people who have wealth. That's not good.

Learn how to challenge and eliminate each reason that I don't have the money you want. This is something to do. There are things in my life that I really don't need. I can eliminate those things. It does bring a challenge to me. I need to understand that I am accountable for what I have.

Learn how to identify and replace my limiting beliefs with ones that serve I better.
Yes, this is true. I need to learn how to identify and replace my limiting beliefs. I should learn what is best for me as I live life. I believe that there is more to life than I can imagine. I have to explore life and believe for the best.

Through my journaling, attempt to continuously trade up my thoughts so that arrive at the conclusion that I'm sure that I deserve to be wealthy.

If I find this kind of change difficult, enroll someone to help me with it.
I didn't choose to find someone to help me on this assignment.

I didn't do the last suggestions from the assignment. The part to have a conversation with wealthy people, I can say I see wealthy people can relate to all kinds of people.

People who worked their way up in wealth can relate to others better than people who have inherited their wealth. By being born rich; there wasn't any lack. But coming from lack into wealth is a different story.

In conclusion:
I can have as much money as I can, as I manage it and have a proper mind set about my wealth. We can be wealthy as we are. It's not just money.

We can have a wealth in encouraging people.  We can have wealth in journaling. The list can go on  and on. The mind set on what wealth is, is what it is. The most important part of wealth is how to mange it and have the right mind set on what wealth is.

What we have comes from the blessings of the LORD. What we do with what we have can bring goodness to us and those around us. We need to learn how to manage what we have. Wealth does have a purpose. We need to discover what it is.

May we have the right desire to have wealth. May we see the value in what wealth really is. May we not use wealth in a bad way. May God grant us wisdom to use what we have for His glory. Amen!

How Much Money Do You Want To Have?

Here's assignment # 18.

"How much money do you want to have?
Write down how much money you want to be earning.
Why don't you have that amount?
Write down the reasons you don't have it.
Is the reason that you have no choice?
Is the reason that your wealth is in someone else's hands?
Is your financial well-being is a function of circumstances?

Are these reasons you want to continue living with?
What are your beliefs about wealth?

Do you believe that it comes easier to others and is harder for you to acquire?
Do you believe that wealthy people are arrogant?
Do you have a clear picture of what you would do with tremendous wealth?

Learn how to challenge and eliminate each reason that you don't have the money you want.
Learn how to identify and replace your limiting beliefs with ones that serve you better.

Through your journaling, attempt to continuously trade up your thoughts so that you arrive at the conclusion that you are sure that you deserve to be wealthy. If you find this kind of change difficult, enroll someone to help you with it.

Surround yourself with people who are wealthy and write about the conversations you have with them. To assist in this process, find at least 3 people who are earning what it is you want to earn in your respective field and interview them.

Ask them how they built their businesses, what qualities they feel are most important both personally and professionally, and what reasons they feel are most responsible for creating the businesses that they have."

I use the bold print above to some of the words that stood out to me.

SOME OF MY THOUGHTS:
How much money do you want to have? This sounds like wishing upon a start. Or a game show where we imagine what we would do if we had the money that we really want. When we want things we need to remember that there is more to it than what we think.

We can have our mind set on what we want or want to earn in life. However we forget about the cost of living and things that we desire. Things add up. Things have a cost.

I have to think on this assignment. I don't think I will ask for any help. I think that will be to personal. Let allow not respectful. We don't need to know what others make. There can be jealousy.

When we think of money, we think of power. The more money we have the better off we can be. That could be so, but in some cases, money can't buy you the things most important in life. For instead, love, health, happiness, joy, peace, patience, the list can go on.

May the LORD grant us wisdom to use our money wisely. May we not make money an idol. May we the value in our lives, that money can't buy us every thing. AMEN!

My History: Who Were My Teachers?

In my early life my parents and siblings were my teachers. Then came the teachers and some of my peers. As I came to be an adult there are teachers on the word of God. Indeed throughout life I can say that I had a lot of teachers. It's nice to have good teachers to follow their lessons.

I can say the Teacher of all teachers, is and always will be God. He has put things into my being. The Great Teacher Jesus. He's more than a Teacher.

I'm still learning in the school of life. Jesus is with me as I go about life. For He is life and in my life. The Holy Spirit is the Helper at all times. He leads the way to where I don't know at times.

In life there are many experiences. In time we should learn from our mistakes. There should be something learned in going through things in life.

I'm thankful for the teachers that God has and had placed in my life. There so much to learn in life. We can't go about life on our own.

May we see that every one who we know can teach us things. May we see the good in what others teach us. May we use the knowledge that we have for the good. May we sharpen one another with good morals. Amen!

My History: Still In The Works

I haven't much time to think on my teachers in my lifetime. I had and still have a lot of teachers. I see that I learn from the people who are around me. A person can bring some good into our lives. Also there can be some negative things as well.

A teacher wants to teach us things that will benefit the person whom they are teaching. There are good values and morals in life. We should past them down to those who we care about.

I thank God for the teachers who He placed in my life. He knew what I needed. And how I would come out.

May we be thankful for the good that we see in our teachers. May we pray for teachers in our lives. May we learn from one another as we live our lives out in Jesus' Name. Amen!

Your History: Who Were Your Teachers?

Assignment # 18: Who Were Your Teachers? They could be your parents, teacher, mentors and etc...

From the assignment: "This week you'll take and in- depth look at all of your teachers, those people who have been influential in your life. and what they taught you and determine if you should keep these lessons or if you should let go of them.
"
Here are questions from the assignment sheet.
What did they teach you?
Are these the lessons yo want to keep?
Why or why not?
How would you like to replace some of this lessons?
What does a lesson 'upgrade' look like to you?

This sounds like a big assignment.I was thinking about my teachers from grade school, Middle school, High School , my college years and the school of life that I'm in how. I took some time in doing this.

I see that I could recall all my grade school teachers. As for middle school through college I can't. I see faces but the name is a mist. I could look them up in my year book.

Perhaps memories will come to mind. It's been a while since I was in public schools. It's been many many years since my college years.  Hope that I can recall some of the lessons I've learned.

May we learn to appreciate those who teach us things in life. May we be teacher to others as well. May we be guide to be a good influence to those around us.

Fast Forward: Do For Fun

Question # 7.)

What do you do for fun?
Do you have a hobby?
Do you take time for yourself?

Do For Fun: What I do for fun? It's not a hobby. It's apart of my life. I love searching for my family history. It brings meaning to me. As I'm searching, I seeking more of what my family members do and what ancestors did.

Some of what my ancestor did, has been pasted down to generation. It's nice to see the traits of what my ancestors did. Besides I can see the touch of how they believed.

Take Time For Myself: I have been learning to take more time to myself. I can be all tie up in doing for others. I forget to take some time for myself.

Over the years, I have to realize that I have a life as well. I have a purpose in being. I tend not to think of that that way. But I do need that time for myself.

I need that time to be who I am. I need what it is there for me. I can realize things when I'm by myself. I can see things as I take time for myself.

In all, it's good for me to have some things that I truly enjoy doing. It brings things out of me that I may have not even known  about. The taking of time to myself can bring me what I need. There is great pleasure in taking time to myself.

May we learn that we need things to do that we truly enjoy doing. May we learn to take the time for ourselves.  May we enjoy what we like to do for fun. Amen.

Fast Forward: Spiritual Life

Question # 6.)
What does your spiritual life look like? Are you mediating? How are you communicating with the universe or your God? Are you peaceful?
Spiritual Life: I believe my spiritual life is growing. I'm growing in the LORD. I'm mediating in the word of God.

I communion with God on a regular basis. While I awake, the awareness of God is, is on my thinking. I can speak to Him at any time. God is always there.

I believe that I'm deeper into my walk with God. I've come a long way. I see by being apart of the local church, I'm in tune with the body of Christ.

I believe that I'm moving into a deeper relationship with God as I journey on life's road. I see that without having contact with God my life is dull. I can't function as I ought.

I see that I have peace when I'm connected with God. I can be in a storm in my life but still be at peace. There is something about having God in my life.

I can recall calling upon Jesus to be my LORD and Savior on Friday March 25, 1983.  I believe that Jesus is in my life on going. He's there. And I believe it.

May we learn that there is a spiritual life. May we learn to be apart of what we believe May the LORD guide our days as we journey throughout life. May we see the good in being connected with the higher source of life. AMEN!

Fast Forward: Business / Professional World

Question # 5.)
What does your business/ professional world look like? Are you an entrepreneur/ in  business for yourself? Self- employed? Employee? What are you doing in your business day to day? See yourself out sourcing  and delegating everything except what you love to do.

Business / Professional World: How do I see myself in the work place? I've been working at home since about 1988. It's been a long time.

I'm self employed. I help out with the family business. I also help out with one disabled family member. I know that there will come a time to do other things than the family business and taking care of this disabled family member.

I make each day as day of giving. I have to keep going with whatever comes my way. Life can change from day to day...I have to make the most of things.

In all, where I've come from has help me do some of the things that I've learned over the years. In time I have to change my business world to doing other things.

I don't know where I will be in a year. I have to ponder the direction to go. In the meantime, I'm doing the best I can with what I'm doing in the present time.

May we see ourselves in the work place. May we like the job that we have. May we do the best that we can in the workplace that we are in. AMEN!

Fast Forward: Financial World

Question # 4.)

What does your financial world look like? Your bank account? Your cash flow?
My Financial World: I'm not a millionairess or rolling in the bough. I'm believing that I doing OK! I'm not in debt. I haven't had a bound check in years. I have some cash flow. I'm not broke.

In all, I do my best to pay what I owe. I don't like to owe anybody. I try to be wise with what I spend my money on. I know at times, I have the urge to want things that are on sale. I have learn to do without. Or wait until...

Then there are those unexpected things that come up. I have to spend more than wanted or what was in plan. I don't like that. That means that I have to do without things for a while.

I don't like money rule my happiness. We can have a lot of money, but money can't buy happiness. Our financial world is the system in how we live. What we can have at times is not bought with a price.

May we learn how to manage our money. May we use common sense when we buy things. May we learn that it's not how much money we have is important but how we manage it. May we learn the value of a dollar. May the LORD guide our hearts in what we should do with the stewardship of our money. AMEN!

I have to keep believing that I'm coming along with my physical health. I know that through the process of aging things change. I see that with living life and living with the ANA positive for lupus, things can change.

There are many things that come with lupus down the road of life. Last year at this time I had skin issues. Through blood and lab work it come out to be related to skin lupus. So, that meant more medicine to treat those issue.

My Physical Appearance: I think, I like beautiful. There are many who don't know that I have or have had lupus. Some of my friends say I look GREAT!  That makes me feel wonderful.

But at times, I can be so so. With the aches and the pains in some joints, it's not fun. Physically at times, it depends on the days. However, I don't go on how I feel.

In all, I believe that I'm coming along with my physical health and appearance. I have learned that aging is a process. Things will come about. I have to grow in this process of life. I good attitude is good to have.

May we learn to do what is takes to be healthy. May we learn to exercise and eat right. May we learn the how we feel is importance. May we do the best we can with what we have. AMEN!

Fast Forward: Relationships

I've been thinking about the first two questions from the assignment. "Fast Forward" in a year. Who do I see myself?

Question #1.)
What does your relationship with yourself look like? How do you treat yourself? What do your thoughts look like?I see my relationships with myself in a new way. I see myself growing in age. I treat my self with respect. I'm working on my thought life. Godly thoughts should be flowing in my thought life. I'm renewing my mind with the word of God.

I see that as I grow in age, I become a little wiser. I see thing in a new light. There are some things that are different. In all I love myself in a balance way. I have to learn more of who I am and not what I think I am.

I have learned over the years that I'm not perfect. I can be down about some things that I've done. But in the long run I can repent and move on with life.

Question # 2.)
What does your intimate/ romantic relationship look like? What about the relationship with your kids, family members and friends?I have no special someone nor children in my life. I do have a relationship with Jesus, my Lord and Savior.
As for the relationship with my family members and friends.

My family: I come from a large family. For the most I'm connected with some of my family members their the Internet or by phone. When we are in the Internet we can't connect more. We can email one another information or photos of what's going on in our lives.

My friends: I can say that I have a lot of friends. Through the years our lives change. There are some close friends who are still with me. Some have drifted away.

I have a lot of distant few. They just know my name. Than there some who know a general information about me as the continue to fellowship with me. Than there are a very few friends that I share my life's issues with.

In all my relationships with a few friends have come closer. The other friends are friend but in a lesser level. I thank God for my friends. I thank God for being my # 1 friend.

May we grow in our relationship with family member and friends. May God show us ways to enrich our relationships. May the LORD lead us into good relationships. AMEN!

Fast Forward: One Year > What Do I See For Myself?

This is an unusual assignment. This session we're to "Fast Forward "one year. "What do you see for yourself? This is a thought assignment.  It's like focusing on our dreams and goal in a year's time.

It's how we set our minds to what's to come. We shouldn't worry about the future. We should have some plan for our future. What to focus on our mind will follow. We have to set our thinking in the right direction we choose to go. In some cases we have detours.

The assignment speaks "WHAT TO FOCUS GROWS." We focus our vision of the future. ONE we create our future by bringing energy tot it.

TWO we don't wasted any energy on focusing on the things in our present that are not going quiet the way was would like them to go. We focus on  the things that are difficult.

"To have Law of Attraction work the way to want it to means yo have to believe that what you want in your life is possible for in order to have it. "

There are some questions from this assignment to think about.
What to do?
How can I believe what I do not believe?
How can I change the way I think effectively?

Each day this week, write, with as much detail as possible, what you see for yourself a year in the future.

1.) What does your relationship with yourself look like? How do you treat yourself? What do your thoughts look like?

2.) What does your intimate/ romantic relationship look like? What about the relationship with your kids, family members and friends?

3.) What do you see for your physical health? What do you physically look like and how do you feel physically.

4.) What does your financial world look like? Your bank account?  Your cash flow?

5.) What does your business/ professional world look like? Are you an entrepreneur/ in  business for yourself? Self- employed? Employee? What are you doing in your business day to day? See yourself outsourcing  and delegating everything except what you love to do.

6.) What does your spiritual life look like? Are you mediating? How are you communicating with the universe or your God? Are you peaceful?

7.) What do you do for fun? Do you have a hobby? Do you take time for yourself?

May we be real about our future. May we have a mind set to hope for the future. May we see ourselves in a new way. May we believe for the best in the future to come. Amen.
