Reflects Past

  • Reflects Past

On my journey of transformationI am still on my journey with Jesus. Since January 7, 2008, I have been sharing some of my reflectionspast, The idea came about in December of 2007.

The day was December 28th, 2007. It was about 1:12 PM. I was sitting at my kitchen table. I had some ideas come to me about future blogs. Then as the days went by, I started writing and blogging some of them.

As I look at my notes, I see that I had about 26 ideas come to me since then. I have share about 8 of them. There are some that I am still pondering. Some I may share in the future.

As I reflect on my  reflectionspast, I have learned new things about myself. I have been exploring and discovering things. I continue to see more things in the new light that is there.

From my Book of Thanks and BlessingsFather God, I thank You that I can reflect back on my past. I thank You for the good that came out of my reflections. I thank You for the STRENGTH that I have gain.

I thank You for the LOVE that You have shown me through those who shared some of their reflectionspast. I thank You for our SALVATION in Jesus. I thank You for HEALING damage emotions.

I thank You for the open Door of HOPE. I thank You for the DELIVERANCE from past hurts. I thank You for the FAITH to go through things in life.

  • Following Jesus Christ

    O Happy Day!
The LORD looks down from heaven and sees the whole human race. From his throne he observes all who live on the earth. He made their hearts, so he understands everything they do. NLT Psalm 33:13-15

    Have A Wonderful Week Ahead!
By the way about football: Super Bowl Sunday. I will watch the game. It doesn't matter to me who wins.  FOOTBALL is football.

    Sunday, February 3rd;
The 34th Day of the Year: The LORD's Day!
Gather together in the House of the LORD.
Come, Let us tell of the LORD's greatness; let us exalt his name together. NLT Psalm 34:3
Glorify the Lord with me, and let us praise his name together. New Century Version Psalm 34:3
My child, don't ignore it when the LORD disciplines you, and don't be discouraged when he corrects you. For the LORD corrects those he loves, just as a father corrects a child in whom he delights. NLT Proverbs 3:11-12
My child, do not reject the Lord's discipline,  and don't get angry when he corrects you. The Lord corrects those he loves, just as parents correct the child they delight in. New Century Version Proverbs 3:11-12

Jesus, You gave Your life for us "poor." Help me do the same.---Marci Alborghetti

Looking at the man, Jesus felt genuine love for him. “There is still one thing you haven’t done,” he told him. “Go and sell all your possessions and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
At this the man’s face fell, and he went away sad, for he had many possessions. NLT Mark 10:21-22

Jesus looked at him. He loved him. He said, `You need one thing more. Go home. Sell everything you have. Give the money to the poor people. You will be rich in heaven. So be ready to carry your own cross and come with me.'
  •   When the young man heard that, he was sad, because he was very rich. So he went away Worldwide English ( New Testament) Mark 10:21-22

    On my journey of transformation
O the joy that I had as I was watching about 20 children and adults being baptized in Church at Friday Night. I noticed that there were some that stated their first and last names. Glory be to God.

As I was in Church on Friday night, I learned more about water baptism. I recall two days before my water baptism, I was reading from 1 Corinthians 12 during my personal time. That was the first scripture that that we went to on Friday night.

Then at some point in the service, I have a thought come to me. I read 1 Corinthians 14 on the day of my water baptism. I did not realized that until Friday.

First Corinthians 14 is speaking about speaking in tongues. I had a thought that I had the indwelling of the spirit that Friday night. I had been wanting the baptism with fire.

Last year I received two words that I had in my spirit. Those two words were expression and understanding. The same words that I received in 1994.

A month has pass in this year. I have been receiving some things that are of expression and understanding over this year so far. I am hearing things in new ways.

Here are some examples. I learned that water baptism is  "being baptized into the Body of Christ, the Church." I am learning more about what it mean to be a Christian. I am learning more about The Church as a "Body."

I am beginning to see some of questions addressed or answered that I have had. There is a difference in some thing. Even when I am watching Christian TV, I am finding myself more alert and aware of what the minister has to say.

About those two words, I don't know "what in directly" I will get out of them. The more I continue on my journey following Jesus Christ, I am experiencing some things in new ways. May I walk into more those expression and understanding through out this year.

2008 is a NEW BEGINNING. I am PRESSING ON! Surely God's goodness and mercy continues to follow me. Thank You, GOD!

On my journey of transformationO God is so Good to me. He ALWAYS is. Love never gives up.

From my Book of Thanks and Blessings
    Father God,
I thank You for this beautiful day that You have given us. I thank You for Hope that comes everyday as we enter into the Door of Hope. I thank You for FAITH that is for today.

I thank You for the SIGNS and WONDERS that are around those who are looking. I thank You for the PROVISION that is there for those in need. I thank You that we can follow after You.

I thank You that HEALING that is flowing day by day. I thank You that DELIVERANCE of Your people.  I thank You that You are our Rock of SALVATION

I thank You that You care for me. I thank You that You are guiding my days. I thank You for the good that comes in Jesus name Amen!

    Have An Awesome Week Ahead!
May God bless you with some surprises

Translations

  • Translations

    On my journey of transformation
Since I started attending Church mid September of 1993, I got interested in other Bible translations over the years. When I grew up, I was first introduced to The Old King James Version. I didn't like that version in my "up bringing."

But when I got interested in the Book of Revelation, I started reading the New Testament. Later on, I came across The Revised English Bible. This Bible helped me out some. I began attending Church more and became apart of the Church Community. This was where I was introduce to The New King James Version.
I like to look at different translations from time to time. I am going through the Bible this year. I am listening to the KJV and reading the Bible in the NKJV. As I have been doing this, my thinking has been alert to some things.

I have noticed in Genesis, something catches my attention. Some of the people stated that their Grandchildren were their children. I  thought that that was interesting.

I have notice that on my ancestral search I see some things. Some of my relatives would state that their grandchildren where their children. And even so stepchildren were considered their children.

Now as I am reading more in the New Living Translation, I have been aware of other things. I have liked the NLT since I came across it by listening to a Christian program in 2005 or 2006. This translation has better wording for me.

On my weblog I have been using different translations. I have started to use the Contemporary English Version. Some of this translations have prayers scriptures in them. I like that very much.

I bring my New King James Version Bible to Church gatherings. While in Church, we are at times using the New Living Translation and The English Standard Version. I do like to see other translations. They open up the meaning of scriptures for me.
The earth is the LORD's, everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him. NLT Psalm 24:1
The earth and everything on it belong to the LORD. The world and its people belong to him. CEV Psalm 24:1
It is an honor to receive an honest reply. NLT Proverbs 24:26
Giving an honest answer is a sign of true friendship. CEV Proverbs 24:26

Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these. NLT Luke 18:16
So Jesus called the children over to him and said, "Let the children come to me! Don't try to stop them. People who are like these children belong to God's kingdom. CEV Luke 18:16
Dear Lord, suffer the children to come to us too, all day and suffer us to be kind and open and generous and intent and honest and attentive to them. ---Brian Doyle
Father God, I am so thankful that I can come to You like a child. I am thankful that there are many translations of Your Holy Book. I am thankful that You call me Your beloved daughters.

I am thankful that NOW FAITH is the substance of things HOPE for and evidence not [YET] seen. I am thankful the Door of HOPE of the everlasting things in You. I am thankful that we have friendship with one another.

I am thankful that HEALING is for everyone. I am thankful that everything belongs to You. I am thankful for Your faithfulness in PROVISION. I am thankful for  awesome SIGNS and WONDERS.

I am thankful for others who find SALVATION through Jesus. I am thankful that I can add things to my Book of Thanks and Blessing every day. I am thankful for Your DELIVERANCE in Jesus' name Amen.

Eve of Christmas Eve Experiences

Reflections: Sunday, 23 December 2007

  • Eve of Christmas Eve Experiences

I went to bed on Saturday night about 10 pm. I was going to be at Church early. As I laid in my bed,  I was awaken during the 2 am hour.It took me a while to fell back asleep.

Then was awaken at 3:10 am. I was aware of an aroma that was in my bedroom. It was a very sweet scent that I have not smelt before. At first I thought it was wood burning. A fire place type smell. I cannot recall how long that I smelt this fragrant.

Then I thought about how the LORD has an aroma. I had a GOOD feeling come over me. There was a point when this aroma got stronger. I could not breathe. So I had to put my head under my cover.

I don't now how long after that I fell back to sleep. It make have been about 20 or 30 minutes later. Then I awake about the 4 am hour.

What awaken me this time was a dream that I had. I was in a dream. In this dream I woke up in that dream, dreaming.

As I woke up I heard PBZ preaching very loudly. I recall that I was trembling at his voice because it was so LOUD. I did not know what was going on.

Then I saw a bright light outside my bathroom. My door was open. I got up from my bed in my dream. I went to see where the light was coming from.

I saw someone who I knew walking. But this person did not appeared to be aware of me. So I started throwing things at him to tell him to leave. This person kept walking.

The next thing I knew the person had vanished. I looked around to see where this person went. Then I look to see where this person got in. It was through a window in the house. Then I woke up for the dream.
I thought that this was very strange dream. I stayed in be a little while and got up about 4:55 am. I went about my morning preparing for Church. Time went very quickly. I had about 5 hours of sleep.

I got to Church...Things appeared different. I normally would stay for the second service. My other ride was not for sure it she was going the second service so I rode home with the person who brought me.

I did not want to ask anybody at the last minute for a ride home. I thank God that I made it to Church on Sunday.

Church was different. I greeted as I normally do during the first service. My eyes were heavy. That is a sign for me that I was tried and sleepy.

During the service I had a whole long pew to myself.  I received more insight about Jesus' incarnation. (I enjoyed the children singing to us.) What a blessing.

After Church I went to the Upper Room to part take in communion. PTB was leading this communion. I have been learning some things from PTB as he is teaching about communion.

I got myself to gather and I made it home ok. As I got home and got on the internet to see the second service. The service was at the point of when the altar was open for prayer.

I have not had the opportunity to watch Word of Life Church on the internet for a while. As I tuned in I found out that it is was much different than the last time I tuned in. As I watched I realized that it is much better to be in Church than online.

As I watch I felt that I was not apart of what was going on. (I was at the first service.) I get more out of the second service. I got distracted a lot as I was watching online. I was not into what was going on.

So I began to search for my family history as I was listen and watching the service off and on. Church is not the same online. It was like it was not Church so to speak.

After Word of Life Church online went off.. I was off to watch football. I caught some of the Chiefs.(I made some spaghetti.)

I was waiting for the Falcons to come on about 3 pm. As I was watching the Falcons play The Cardinals I got even more bored. I fell asleep through out the game. (Falcons lost in Over Time 27 to 30. One final game left for the season.)

Perhaps I needed the rest that I missed thought out the morning. I had other things on my mind as well. God is so Good. There were some things I saw today that was a touch from Him.
I thank God for this day. So I thought to add some of today's experiences on my blog site. Tomorrow is another day.

From my Book of Thanks and Blessings.
    Father God,
I am thankful that I had a lot of time to think today.
I am thankful that I thought about some things
that I have been aware of
                        and so forth.
I thank You that I had this day of reflecting and relaxation.

What I am aware of on
    my journey of transformation.

I am being moving in a new direction.

Blogs Revisited

Reflections: Friday, 30 November 2007

  • Blogs Revisited

In The Year Of Our LORD!

"The seeds we sow today determine the kind of fruit we'll reap tomorrow."
    Mrs. Walter M. Harrison
This is a part of a blog that I posted on NOVEMBER 30, 2006.
I added some more thoughts. We are still in the overflow.

    2006 What A Year!
I have been thinking about 2007. Last year around this time I came across Leviticus 25...The Sabbath of the Seventh Year.

Leviticus 25: 18 -22.   Verse 21: "Then I will command My blessing on you in the sixth year, and it will bring forth produce enough for three years".

I thought then the year 2006, a commanded blessing  and it will bring forth produce enough for three years. 2007, 2008, 2009.

December... there is a month left in this year.  A commanded blessing is still there for 2006.  Today, I received some very good news. Yeah, a commanded blessing is coming in December!  God is so good!    Seize Every Day In December.
    Commanded Blessings are coming
    ....

Here are some more of my thoughts:
    Commanded Blessing
    .....

What I said above apply for this year too. I was thinking about this blog in October 2007. I know that these verses are in the Old Testimony. The Commanded Blessings that were in 2006 are still here from the overflow of blessings that came from that year.

I believe that what I put into 2006 came forth in 2007.
What's ahead for The Year of 2008?
A Fresh New Start and A New Beginning.

The year 2007 was A Year of Completion, A Year of Rest From Laboring. The Year of The Open Door, The Year of Our LORD, The Year of Jubilee...

I have given some things to the LORD. I have been resting in the LORD. The been resting from my own laboring trying to get things done my way and not the LORD's way. The battle is not mine but the LORD's.

Since I have cease in doing some things and began to wait on the LORD, I have been having peace of mind.I have PEACE about some issues that once troubled my thinking.

    2008 is in the midst!
What lays ahead? I have to wait and see. I believe more commanded blessings will overflow from 2007 into 2008 and 2009. I planted and sowed seeds daily for the tomorrow in years to come. Eventually, I will met up with what was sown and see it in the natural.

Isaiah 61:1-3  (NLT)The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is upon me, because the LORD has appointed me to bring good news to the poor.

Verse 1) He has sent me to comfort the broken-hearted and to announce that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.

Verse 2) He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the LORD's favor has come, and with it, the day of God's anger against their enemies.

Verse 3) To all who mourn in Israel, he will give beauty for ashes, joy instead of mourning, praise instead of despair. For the LORD has planted them like strong and graceful oaks for his own glory. 2007 COVENANT Blessings Text Deuteronomy 33

The COVENANT Blessing:             (12 Tribes of Israel)
    The Blessing of LIFE,                        Reuden
    The Blessing of HELP,                      Judah
    The Blessing of WISDOM,                Levi
    The Blessing of  PROTECTION,      Benjamin
    The Blessing of PROSPERITY,        Ephraim
    The Blessing of STRENGTH,           Manasseh
    The Blessing of JOY,                         Zebulun
    The Blessing of ABUNDANCE,        Issachar
    The Blessing of AUTHORITY,         Gad
    The Blessing of COURAGE,             Dan
    The Blessing of FAVOR,                   Naphtali
    The Blessing of ANOINTING.          Asher

Yes, That's what I have been entering into My Book of Thanks. Each of these blessings were spoken into my life as blessings that are mine: The 12 Covenant Blessing of God.

I add these blessings (from our prayer gatherings in the Upper Room on the first 7 days of this year) in my Book of THANKS. (I took notes during those gatherings in a way I never have done before.)

From my Book of THANKS and Blessings:
    I am so thankful that

God causes COMMANDED Blessings to flow and produce in years that follow.
I am so thankful for ALL of The COVENANT Blessings of God.
I am thankful for CYCLES of Blessings that are from God.
I am so thankful that when things don't make sense,
God is in CONTROL of all the CRAZINESS.

Here is a part of another blog back on December 31, 2006...
    (
    With Update Corrections)
This is the day that the year 2006 expires and the birth of a new year is dawning.  I am excited about two double 0 seven.  I have come across some revelation about my life over a period of seven years. Is this a coincidence?

I see a pattern to this cycle of seven years.

In 1993 I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior.
1999 was The End of the 90's.
In 2000 I began a New Look At Life
        2006 was My Rebirth Year.
In 2007 New Year Cycle of 7 (Already Began)
2013 will be a Special Milestone.
I did included the year that the cycle began.
    For example:
In 1993 that year was my thirtieth year of life upon this earth.
    I see 1993 + 1999 as seven years. 2000 + 2006 as seven years.

    And 2006 (0 7) + (2012)
13 are the years that I am a teenager in the spirit: 13 - 19
--A  Seven Year Cycle: Those are special years in my life.

(Footnote: 7 Year Cycle)September 17th starts the Year of My Salvation

Saved + 7 Years runs into the following year
    1993
    /1999 - 2000 /2001   ages      0 - 6 / 7 in the spirit.
    2000 / 2001- 2006 /2007   ages      7-13/ 14 in the spirit.
    2006 /2007 - 2012 /2013    ages 14 - 19 / 20 in the spirit.
    2013/ 2014 - 2020 /2021    ages  21 -27 / 28 in the spirit.

I hope that this is correct and makes sense. Blessings to you.
May the LORD richly bless you as you go about your days.

    Peace be with you,
    Susie
